Creamy Chicken Orzo Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 cups organic chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the orzo to the pot and stir for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the orzo is al dente.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
